Hi friends meet @vulvarinesaperson. She like drawing cartoons, farts and making jokes. She has worked on some super cool shows including The Simpson’s, Futurama and most recently Disenchantment on @netflix. Shannon is here here sharing that positive mental attitude and changing the world one fart at a time.
What are your thoughts on farts?
The moment you don’t think farts are funny, you’re dead inside.
Why draw?
It’s fun and I can create my own world if I want to escape the one we are in temporarily.
What qualities do all your friends have in common?
They are all Bad Asses.
What’s your secret talent?
I’m not sure it’s a secret but I can belch your entire name.
What’s the most anxiety-inducing thing you do on a regular basis?
Wake up and exist.
What would the adult version of an ice-cream truck sell and what song would it play?
Probably Big Sticks, Choco Tacos, Frozen Toes, Bomb Pops, basically a regular Ice cream truck. It would play an instrumental version of Darling Nikki by Prince. In the words of the great artist Jay Howell (@punksgitcut) “Never forget how horny Prince was.”
What always cheers you up when you think about it?
My pets, past present and future.
Do you like things to be carefully planned or do you prefer to just go with the flow?
Plans are neat, I’m a flower not a scheduler.
How do you keep yourself psychologically healthy?
I watch a lot of true crime, listen to podcasts, draw and get outside to play.
Mantra of the moment?
Be your own fucking friend. (Sorry about the cursing but this came out of my mouth today and I want to listen to my own advice)
Favorite quote?
Die to the past every moment, you don’t need it. Only refer to it when it is absolutely relevant to the present. Feel the power of this moment and the fullness of being. Feel your presence. -Elkhart Tolle (it’s a really long quote, I mostly like the first part, “Die to the past every moment” its easy to remember
What did you like/dislike about where you grew up?
I moved a lot from the ages 0-11, then settled in suburbia. It was nice once I got a car and could drive to the beach and mountains. I liked that it was in Southern California.
What’s your good luck charm?
A pen and paper.
What’s the oldest thing you own?
Probably a chair that was my grandparents'.
What was the biggest realization you had about yourself?
I like alone time and I am gayer than I thought I was.
What is paradise?
A quiet sunny day with 3 feet of fresh powder on the mountain.
What is god?
You and me and everything and everyone.
What do you need help with most often?
Reaching things that are high up.
What do you do to make the world a better place?
I could be doing more, thanks for asking me this. I vote. I make art.
What habit do you have now that you wish you started much earlier?
Writing daily.
What about the opposite sex confuses you the most?
Toilet seats.
What life skills are rarely taught but extremely useful?
How to relax and meditate.
What’s the worst thing you’ve eaten out of politeness?
I must not be very polite.
