Hi friends meet @stacihallhair, a hair stylist from Palm Springs, CA.
What type of women do you attract to your chair most often?
I find my clientele of women are independent, creative women who often own their own businesses or are making art their living in some way. It’s amazing energy to learn from and be surrounded by day to day!
If you had one memory you could carry with you for the rest of your life, what would it be?
You ask the best questions. I would say, riding a bike with my husband and living in San Francisco.
What is the best part of living in the desert?
The sunshine.
Where are some unusual places you’ve been?
I went to Michoacán where my husband is from, and we went to this hidden spot where water came up from the ground, crystal clear, with the roots of the trees above ground and intertwined. They had handmade boats, and you could swim and drink a michelada by the gallon there! Families BBQ’d and got together every weekend there. Loved it!
When did something start out badly for you but in the end, it was great?
I would say my life had a rough start having my mom be a drug addict at a young age, but it ended up shaping me into the person I am today.
How do you judge a person?
By their integrity and kindness.
What goal do you think humanity is not focused enough on achieving?
More love. For others, for themselves. A lot of people don’t know how.
Tell me one Staci fun fact...
I can sing mostly any song on the radio!
What tips or tricks have you picked up from your job/jobs?
I have always done hair or worked in restaurants, and I would say both require you to be observant and listen. You learn how to read a room and take in the energy around you. To be a good host.
Which of your vices or bad habits would be the hardest to give up?
This is tough because I believe you can give up anything. I think coffee is the hardest, honestly. It’s such a morning ritual for me.
What’s something that everyone, absolutely everyone, in the entire world can agree on?
That pizza is always a good idea!
What’s some insider knowledge that only people in your line of work have?
We know how to read people.
What is paradise?
The mountains or the beach—either one has its own silence and tranquility.
What was the biggest realization you had about yourself?
I’m resilient.
What’s your secret talent?
Picking things up with my toes.
What habit do you have now that you wish you started much earlier?
Having boundaries and saying NO.
What about the opposite sex confuses you the most?
Why you can never put your clothes in the hamper?!
What are your thoughts on the ocean?
I respect it. It’s so calm but so powerful and mysterious!
What would you say has been your best investment?
My career, hands down.
What have you learned from being a hair stylist?
Being present, how to stay creative, and it’s taught me discipline to keep practicing.
