HI friends. Meet @lexyloveshair, she is a traveling hair stylist who loves to surf and skate.
Q: What have you learned from cutting hair? A: Hair is an ever-evolving fabric that is constantly growing and changing in texture as we age. I have learned from cutting hair that ongoing, advanced education is key to adapting to these changes.
Q: What are some of the choices you have made to make you who you are? A: A few things that have made me Lexy are:
Attending, graduating, and pursuing my career as a traveling hairstylist.
Spontaneously packing up my car and moving to Southern California.
Finding my first California love...surfing!
Q: Why is traveling important to you? A: My travels provide the most research and inspiration for what’s trending in hair and fashion. I crave the feel of a new culture and an adventure as raw and real as I can get it!
Q: Window seat or aisle? A: I’m all about the window seat! I can't miss out on seeing something cool!
Q: Do you believe in miracles? A: I don’t believe in miracles, but I do believe in magic.
Q: Tell me why you love California.... A: I love California for the endless avocados!
Q: Please share one Lexy fun fact.... A: Lexy Fun Fact: I’m a simple girl. Smiles, fresh air, and sunshine have always been a favorite of mine.
Q: What is god? A: God is good. Good is great.
Q: If you could ask god one question what would it be? A: I’m not curious enough to ask.
Q: What happens when we die? A: Think of the most weightless, elegant, and radically vivid dream you’ve ever experienced...that’s what happens when we die.
Q: Tell me about surfing... A: Mmmmm. Surfing. Where do I start? It could be the complete and utterly “free” feeling I get when I paddle from the shore to the ocean. It could be the insane amount of self-accomplishment I feel when my feet grip my board and then my board to the wave. But I would say that surfing, above all, is humbling. It helps make me the best version of me I can be!
Q: What is paradise? A: Paradise is ear-to-ear smiles curated by sunshine, tropical palm trees, a big empty beach, and endless waves.
Q: Do people ever really change? A: Change is a temporary switch in life’s direction. Growth is a permanent direction going up. I don’t believe people ever really change; they grow. :)
Q: Mantra of the moment? A: “This is living!”
Q: What’s your favorite quote? A: “Get tough, stay stoked!”
Q: What’s the worst hairstyle you’ve ever had? A: I’ve had many bad hairstyles over the years, but the “best” worst hairstyle I’ve ever had was when I was 5. My Grammy cut my hair just like Elvis.
Q: What habit do you have now that you wish you started much earlier? A: Give love. Receive love. Self-love.
